1. BSAY
It is a root cause of the epidemic of violence and many of the other problems facing the Black community today. It tells us that Black people are not as beautiful, lovable, capable, intelligent, and worthy as other people. It is keeping us from being at our best and reaching our full potential. It is the lie of Black inferiority. How can we begin to free ourselves?

Join us this Tuesday, October 4th, at 7:00pm in the Af-Am House Lighten Room forEmotional Emancipation to find out! We will be discussing the power of the myth of Black inferiority and a new mental health movement, led by a Yale Alum, that is attempting to overcome it.

RSVP on the Facebook page here!

2. Google
At Google, you will find smart people, big problems, and opportunities to make a real impact. We are looking for the brightest in a range of fields. A member from Google’s University Programs team will be coming to campus on October 4th at 7:30 at Undergraduate Career Services Center Room 369 to meet with students to talk about opportunities at Google, including our BOLD Internship Program (www.google.com/students/bold
) and full-time student opportunities on the business side (www.google.com/students/biz).
If you’re interested in chatting with a Google recruiter, please come by and listen to the presentation. More information on the opportunities available at Google are below.

Full-time Undergraduate Opportunities:
We’re hiring for a wide range of roles, including non-technical and the more technical business roles. As a Google employee, you’ll have a chance to work on innovative products, pursue new ideas, and make an impact. Googlers’ backgrounds vary enormously, so all are welcome! What we all share is an enthusiasm for the technology industry and a passion for solving big problems. Roles will be posted online on our student jobs site (www.google.com/students/biz) in the coming weeks.

BOLD Internship Program Details:
Google aspires to be an organization that reflects the globally diverse users that our search engine and tools serve. We believe that in addition to hiring the best talent, a diversity of perspectives, ideas and cultures leads to the creation of better products and services. With this in mind, we created our BOLD Internship Program for business-related opportunities at Google for rising junior and seniors. Current freshmen can apply to the BOLD Immersion Program for Freshmen. More information about these programs can be found on our BOLD Programs site (www.google.com/students/bold).
